Mich fasziniert stets, wie Rabbiner und Gemeindeführer von jüdischen Künstlern dargestellt werden, und ich wollte beginnen, eigene Porträts von Rabbinern zu schaffen – geprägt von leuchtenden Farben und einer spielerischen Note. Erst vor wenigen Jahren habe ich erfahren, dass mein Ururgroßvater („Zeyde“) Yitzak Portner Maler war; er porträtierte seinen Schwiegervater – meinen Ur-Ur-Urgroßvater Rabbi Aaron Ha Cohen Lichter, den Rabbiner von Podilsk (Ukraine). Die Tradition, Rabbiner zu malen, besteht in meiner Familie also schon seit über 100 Jahren, und es erfüllt mich mit Freude, diese Tradition mit meinem eigenen Stil und meiner ganz persönlichen Note fortzuführen!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cspan face=\"arial, sans-serif\" color=\"#000000\" style=\"color: #000000; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"termHighlighted-night\"\u003eHani\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eחאני Esther Indictor Portner (they\/them\/er) creates artwork with bold color and an abundance of love and pride.
