Hani חאני Esther Indictor Portner (they/them/er) creates artwork with bold color and an abundance of love and pride. Their work features Jewish themes and ritual objects intertwined with the celebration of community and togetherness. They research, write, teach, and create art that celebrates trans, queer, and Jewish stories. They aim to connect fellow humans with the land they live on to better protect the environment and create bridges of love with each other, our more than human neighbors, and the ancestors all around us. Hani teaches accessible workshops about art and nature, and has a podcast about Jewish Art History called Passing the Paintbrush. When they are not painting they are exploring the forest, archives or the streets of Berlin in their Rainbow wheelchair.
If you truly love one of Hani's artworks but cannot afford it, please reach out. They are more than happy to offer it at a lower price.
